Deaths of homeless people in England and Wales up 24% since 2013

An estimated 597 homeless people died in England and Wales in 2017, up 24% since 2013, according to new figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The ONS says the figure is a "robust but conservative estimate, so the real numbers may still be higher.
